Chaplaincy in Bond

We are all lawbreakers, Romans 3:10-12 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” But man does not punish people for sins committed, but for crimes that society considers that deserves to be punished. From the first family of humanity carries the consequences of sin, but God in His great love, sent us a Savior and all Christians know that the blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin.

We started work in the largest prison of Paraguay with chaplaincy. In our prisons there is much need and violence in all times, to get to the pavilion in which meetings are conducted must be accompanied by security guards to avoid being attacked.

Among these high concrete walls, cold and gray living people who need to hear that God loves them despite the mistake they made. People who are in prison are not suffering alone, the families involved in this tragedy, as they have to live with the absence of the convicted and visits are always controlled and in fact, strict security controls are in place that not everyone is willing happen.

We desire that in this time of Advent and Christmas, which is the most difficult time for which an inmate has to go, we remember them as Hebrews 13:3 says “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them” and pray that God, through Jesus Christ, grant them peace, comfort and strength.
