Conference about Forgiveness

On September 28 we developed a conference about forgiveness in the neighborhood “3 de Mayo” in the city of Luque. Forgiveness is something that flows from God through us to others. The Bible uses the word “sin” to describe the evil and selfish things we do. “Sin” means missing the mark. God wants us to worship Him fully, wholeheartedly, with our entire mind, and with our full force. But when we look at ourselves, we can see that we missed the mark. We all fail in the expectations of God. We can’t be good before the eyes of God. We need another person to fulfill God’s expectations for us and make things right with Him; Jesus Christ was who did that. His perfect life is a substitute for each of us. The perfect life, death and resurrection of Jesus, fulfilled God’s expectations for us and makes us perfect before His eyes. Because of Jesus, God forgives us.

Film: The Life of Jesus

On Wednesday, September 7, we visit a place that we had never visited before, it is the neighborhood “Valley Isle” in the city of Areguá, and there, in a field where people play volleyball, we have projected a film about the life of Jesus. The assistants of all ages have learned that God loves men and that he gave his only Son to suffer and die for us, that love and mercy of God transcends all conceivable parameters. They learned that we all deserve punishment, but, goodness and mercy of God towards us is so great that God in his love purifies us from all our unrighteousness and forgive us our sins, gives us life and salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Bible School with puppets

On September 3 we went to “Casilla 2″ on Caaguazú department, is a beautiful place which is about 275 km from Asuncion.

We had the intention that children learn about the love their Savior Jesus Christ through songs and a message that was in charge of Ali and Pepe. (Puppets).

In resume the message was:
That salvation is not by works lest any man should boast, salvation is a gift from our Lord Jesus Christ, and we receive it when we recognize that He took our place on Calvary’s cross, no sacrifice can be greater than the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, that salvation is a gift from God, we are saved by grace. Salvation is a gift (grace) of God.

On Sunday we celebrated the worship with the local congregation and the sermon preached by the director of CPTLN was based on Psalm 32, entitled “Sorry, the greatest miracle.”

Winter Vacation Bible School

Learning to accept others is the story of a new kid in school and he is truly hateful. Karina, a girl from this school have to work with him and needs to learn to accept he, she remembers that everyone is special at the eyes of God and she know that Jesus loves everyone. So, she smiles and tries to understand the new kid, she tells him to be her friend, however difficult it is to be with him.

Through this story we teaches children in “Bañado Tacumbú” to accept others. The classes of the “Winter vacation Bible School” began on Monday, July 11 and ended on Friday, July 15, involving a total of 207 children, them were divided into seven classrooms.

Marriage God’s Way

On July 2 and 3 we developed the seminar for Marriages “At the Way of God” the orator was the Pastor Todd Bierman and his wife Heater, in the “Ministry Center” of the Lutheran Church of Paraguay in the city of Santa Rita, of this event participated 226 people (113 couples). And in July 5 and 6 it was developed in the Congregation “Cristo Rey” at the city of Fernando de la Mora, attended by 26 people. (13 marriages)

The objectives were:
- To grow in Christ.
- To relax and enjoy each other.
- To look honestly at our existing relationship.
- To develop a new vision and acquire new tools for the growth of our relationship, as God wants.
- To decide together on new perspectives for our marriage to grow as God wants.
- To expend time with my dear.

BIBLE PASSAGE:
Gen. 2:24 (FATHER), Matt. 19:5 (JESUS), Eph. 5:31 (Paul by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit)
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh…”

We can summarize the basic teaching on that passage with 3 concepts:

PRESCRIPTIVE for Marriage.
DESCRIPTIVE Christ and His Bride, the Church.
ILLUSTRATIVE all relationships.

This type of love has been shown to couples by Jesus, who showed and shows this kind of love to His chosen bride, the Church (see Ephesians 5:32). This seminar highlighted this connection as we develop the details.

The Rev. Todd A. Biermann is the Senior Pastor of the Lutheran Church Faith – Grand Blanc, MI, United States.

Mission in Ciudad del Este

The Pastor Laercio Knaak and his wife Andrea Orsinher, are a couple of Lutheran missionaries, working in the area of Ciudad del Este. At Km 9, 132 children attend, from 3 to 14 years old, listening Bible classes with materials provided by Christ for All Nations (LHM).

Pastor Laercio said: “This job is being a wonderful opportunity for these children, who have big problems and difficulties within society, because this way they also get to know the love of God, who can help them live happier with a better future”

BIBLE SCHOOL – Casilla 2

Three young teachers from the town of Casilla 2, are developing a Bible school for children from this place, to make them know the love of God. For this activity, Christ For All Nations (LHM), through a project supported by CCCS (Children’s Christian Concern Society), provides the materials for these children to know our Lord Jesus Christ.

We know that the gospel of Jesus Christ can change lives and societies, and we also know that the Bible gives us important values for life, because that, we will encourage students to listen and read carefully the Bible, to reflect and express their thoughts.

BIBLE COURSE – Towards A New Life

On March 22, in Loma Pyta, we started the Bible course “Towards A New Life”. The subject of this course is: Whither goes your life? Many people are on the way of materialism, believing that to get a lot of things they will live happier. Others, especially young people, they get to full speed on the highway to the popularity to be fashionable. Others, through the pesimism ended in alcoholism, drug addiction or suicide.

It’s clear that the Bible is right when he says: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death” (Proverbs 14:12).

There are other ways that appear be the best:
- Optimism, even when there is no reason;
- Trying to be good citizen, parent or worker;
- Search peace in religion.

These ways sometimes leave us questioned on:
Is not there something more than this? Is not it possible enjoying more the life? Is death the only awaits us? The answer to all these questions is “YES!” Because Jesus told us: “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).

The purpose of this course is to teach how to receive this abundant life, and how to enjoy full mind. A total of 14 lessons based on the Bible, the Word of God, we are sure it will be of great benefit to all.
